Taps To Do List

Taps To Do List: Sauna

Lately, I have been really trying to be more healthy.  I have been going to a gym with a friend three times a week.  We have been trying to run a mile every time we work out and do multiple other core workouts.  I have been happy with my results, but nothing too noticeable yet!  One day me and her were talking about what else the gym offered to help people lose weight and noticed there was a sauna. We decided to try it and I was skeptical about it at first, but in the end I loved it!

untitleda.pngMe and my friend first went into the sauna after we turned the heat on for about 10 minutes.  We were curious as to why it wasn’t steamy.  We sat in there for a bit without any steam, just heat.  Clearly we missed something, but at first we thought it was broken.  Then we began to read the signs on the outside and noticed that we needed to add water to the coals!

Word of advice, please read all signs around the sauna for safety and just to make sure you know how to work the thing.  After we began to use it correctly we began our very first sauna adventure.  If you choose to do this be sure you don’t mind sweating.  It helps to have a wet towel to put around your neck to cool you off a little.  It also helps to have a bottle of water in there with you

Once you decided to exit the sauna be prepared to get COLD!  The change of temperature is insane, but you feel so good.  Its almost like a cleanse of your body.  It definitely will wake you up and make you feel so refreshed.  I would definitely recommend you guys to add this to your to do list because it was definitely on mine and I am so glad I did it.  I now use the sauna every week and it helps me get through the week.  Try it and let me know how it goes.

Tap Tips: Enjoy Life

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt

This quote really interested me.  As a student, I feel its really hard for people to see how great life is and how many opportunities we have at our finger tips.  There is a lot of pressure about the future and that is all some people think about.  The future is important, but I do believe that everyone should live their lives.  We should experience new things everyday.  Its hard to get out of the routine of school and work, but its important for us as young adults to go out and experience the world.

Everyone older always says life goes by too fast.  If this is true then we should be enjoying everything around us.  We should try new things to try and discover what we like and dislike. Personally, I love all quotes about enjoying life because it helps me enjoy everything that is happening in my life now.  Even though I am looking forward to the future , I am also trying to experience all I can now, good or bad.

I encourage each of my followers to look around themselves and try to be thankful for every moment.  Each one of you should try and do something new today and tomorrow. We are here to experience life and sometimes we forget to enjoy it.  We have to remember that life seems to be short, so wouldn’t you rather enjoy the moments that can be made into big memories. I hope this has opened your eyes to the possibilities in your life and just know that there is always time for you to do something for yourself.  Are you going to tap this quote to your life?

Painting with A Twist- Little Rock AR

;alskThis weekend, I decided to attend a local painting class in Little Rock, Arkansas called Painting with a Twist.  I decided to invite my mom to do something new and creative with her.  I scheduled and reserved our seats ahead of time. Each day there is new painting to participate in and you can reserve your seats online for whichever painting you like out of the paintings they are instructing that day.  Each day is different and has different costs depending on the day.  For my Saturday night painting class, it was about $35 and it was so worth it!

We had a blast using our creative side to create these paintings.  We started out with a blank canvas and followed each step that the instructor told us.  I put my own twist in my painting by using yellow, while the rest of the class used blue.  I ended up loving my painting .untitled

The instructors were very nice and I would really recommend it for anyone looking to do an activity with a group or even with your significate other.  During some sessions you can bring your choice of drink and snacks. If you are of age you are allowed to bring your own booze and have fun socializing and painting.
